§ 1042.01 USE OF STORM SEWERS REQUIRED; ALTERNATIVES; PROHIBITED DISCHARGE.
   (A)   Surface water, rain water from roofs, subsoil drainage water, building foundation drainage water, cistern overflow water, clean water from condensers and any other clean and unobjectionable wastewater shall be discharged into a storm water sewer or street gutter whenever and wherever such sewer or street gutter is available to receive such water. Where such a sewer or street gutter is not available, such water shall be discharged into a natural watercourse. In no case, however, shall such water be discharged into a sanitary sewer or combined sewer. If water is discharged into a street gutter, it shall be piped under the sidewalk.
   (B)   No person shall discharge, or permit the discharge of, any such water into a house sewer or drain, driveway approach, downspout or other rain water leader connected to or with a sanitary sewer, or tap a house drain or sewer so connected for the purpose of discharging any such water into it. An existing connection in violation of any of the provisions of this section shall be abandoned and removed.
