§ 1040.12 USE DURING CONSTRUCTION.
   Building contractors or other persons wishing to use water temporarily shall apply for a permit before attaching hose to any service pipe or hydrant and shall pay in advance for the estimated quantity of water to be used which shall be determined by the waterworks office. If service is of long duration and intermittent use, the city shall furnish a meter, which can be bought or rented at a nominal charge. Such contractors or other persons shall use a secondary valve on reducers and be held responsible for all damage by fire hydrants or water mains while in such use. Meters for hydrants are $50 per day per meter.
