No person who is engaged in the business of buying, selling, exchanging or dealing in automobiles, metals, bottles, syphons, old rope, old iron, brass, copper, tin, lead, rags, waste paper, rubber, secondhand plumbing materials, secondhand gas and electric fixtures or other used articles commonly designated as junk, shall own, rent or maintain a store, stand, yard or place of business for the purpose of buying, selling, exchanging or dealing in such articles in the city.
