§ 642.27 DISPOSAL OF LEASED PERSONAL PROPERTY.
   (A)   No person, with intent to defraud, shall sell, secrete, destroy, convert to his or her own use or otherwise dispose of, leased or rented personal property. It is prima-facie evidence of such intent to defraud if such person does either of the following:
      (1)   Signs the receipt for such leased or rented property with a name other than his or her own; or
      (2)   Fails to return such property to its owner within ten days after being personally served with a written demand therefor, provided that such demand is served on or after the date stipulated in the lease or rental agreement for the return of such property.
   (B)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
