§ 606.27 RELEASE ON OWN RECOGNIZANCE.
   (A)   When, from all the circumstances, a court is of the opinion that the accused will appear as required, either before or after conviction, the accused may be released on his own recognizance. No person shall fail to appear as required by such recognizance.
   (B)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. This section does not apply to misdemeanors and related ordinance offenses arising under the traffic code, except that this section does apply to violations of §§ 434.01 and 436.11 of such traffic code.
