§ 412.07 STREET SALES.
   (A)   No person, other than a licensed hand peddler, shall demonstrate, sell or offer for sale any goods, wares or merchandise from any vehicle, or from any box, basket, bag or other container, upon a highway or sidewalk in the city, except in authorized market stands not closer than 20 feet to intersections elsewhere than alleys. No person, other than a licensed peddler selling from a vehicle, shall stand or go upon a roadway or sidewalk for the purpose of there demonstrating, selling or offering for sale any goods, wares, newspapers, merchandise or similar items. No person, whether licensed as a peddler or not, shall demonstrate, sell or offer for sale, upon any highway or sidewalk within a congested or closely built up portion of the city, except at authorized market stands, any goods, wares or merchandise, other than newspapers.
   (B)   Nothing herein shall be construed to prohibit the distribution of noncommercial handbills, cards, leaflets or other literature on sidewalks.
