§ 270.10 REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR DISABLED EXAMINEES.
Reasonable accommodations may be made for the testing of examinees who are disabled. A disabled individual, for purposes of this chapter, is any person who has a disability which substantially limits one or more major life activity such as performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, or speaking. The accommodations shall be those that can be reasonably made and that can be made for an examinee to perform the duties of a position within the classification tested. The Commission may solicit or use the services of a public or private agency to assist in making reasonable accommodations for a disabled applicant. The reasonableness of accommodations may take into consideration the practicality of the accommodations required, the cost of the accommodations and other relevant factors. If reasonable accommodations cannot be made, the examinee may be excluded from an examination. Examinees who wish to be accommodated are responsible for proposing a reasonable accommodation.
