No person having control or charge of a motor vehicle shall allow such vehicle to stand unattended without first effectively setting the brakes thereon and, when standing upon any grade, without turning the front wheels of such vehicle to the curb or side of the street. The driver of a motor vehicle when traveling upon a down grade upon any street shall not coast with the gears of the vehicle in neutral. (Neb. RS 60-6,168) (Prior Code, § 5-601) Penalty, see § 70.99
(A) All parking on the street right-of-way on all platted north-south residential streets in the city shall only be allowed on the west side of said street right-of-way, and no parking on the east side of said street shall be allowed. All parking on the street right-of-way on all platted east-west residential streets in the city shall only be allowed on the south side of said street right-of-way, and no parking on the north side of said street shall be allowed. No parking shall be allowed which blocks entrances to private drives, off-street parking areas, and alleys.
(1) All parking on the west side of residential street right-of-way in the 200 block of North Bridge Street shall not be allowed during school hours. Any vehicle in which parking in violation of this section shall be subject to tow of vehicles and penalty, see §

(B) Any vehicle which is parked in violation of this section for a time period of more than 24 hours shall be towed away by the Police Department and held by said department until the owner of said vehicle pays all costs involved with the removal of said vehicle as herein provided.

No vehicle, while parked, shall have any portion thereof projecting into any alley entrance.

It shall be unlawful for the operator of any truck with an overall length of more than 20 feet to stop or park any such vehicle on a street or alley within the business district, except to load or unload, and then only when loading or unloading in an alley is impossible. Vehicles may stop or stand for a period of time not to exceed what is reasonably necessary to load or unload. It shall be unlawful for the operator of any truck, regardless of length, to park said vehicle within a street intersection, on a crosswalk, in front of a private driveway, or on a sidewalk. The governing body may, by resolution, provide truck parking areas adjoining or adjacent to the business district and, when such parking areas are provided, it shall be the duty of all truck operators to use such parking areas for all parking purposes. No truck, including oil tankers, shall park or stop for any period of time within the limits of any street outside the business district, except for the purpose of loading or unloading the cargo thereof in the ordinary course of business, except in the area or areas provided by the governing body by resolution.
