It shall be unlawful to rescue or attempt to rescue or shall abet or encouraged the rescue or escape of any person from the custody of any officer or other person legally having him or her in charge, or shall molest or interfere with any officer or other person so legally having him or her in charge or shall, in any manner, aid, abet or encourage the rescue or the attempt to escape from any person legally committed thereto, or shall supply or attempt to supply any such person with any such person with any weapon or with any implement or means whereby an escape might be affected, or with any intoxicating liquors, drugs or other article(s) without the consent of the officer in charge.
