7-4-9: PENALTY:
   A.   Offense: Any person who violates any provision of this chapter by doing any act prohibited or declared to be unlawful thereby, or declared to be a nuisance, an offense or misdemeanor thereby, or who fails to do any act required by any such provision, or who fails to do any act when any such provision declares such failure to be unlawful or to be an offense or misdemeanor, or who violates or fails or refuses to carry out any lawful order, rule or regulation of any officer of the city or any lawfully constituted board, body or agency of the city made pursuant to provisions of the city ordinances, is guilty of an offense. Upon conviction thereof, such person shall be punished at the discretion of the judge of the municipal court as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. Each day upon which a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
   B.   Injunction: No penalty imposed by and pursuant to subsection A of this section shall interfere with the right of the city also to apply to the proper courts of the state for an injunction, writ of mandamus or other appropriate action against such person. (1988 Code § 11-113)
