(a) No person shall ride or propel any skateboard or similar device along, across or upon any street, sidewalk, school, park, public parking lot, parking facility or structure, public right of way, or other public property designated by the Chief of Police as being closed to such activities. It shall not be necessary to post a sign or other notice at each street, sidewalk. school, park, public parking lot, parking facility or structure, public right of way, or other public property designated as closed to such activities. The Chief of Police may choose to place signage at his discretion. The absence of a sign from a designated area shall not be a defense to prosecution under this section.
(b) The Chief of Police shall designate the closed areas in a list to be published in public view at the City of Princeton Municipal Building. Modifications to the list of closed areas may be made by the Chief of Police at anytime or by vote of the Princeton City Council.

(c) The first violation for each individual of Section 301.39 shall be resolved with a written or verbal warning. Every person convicted of a subsequent violation of Section 301.39 within one year of the warning shall be fined not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and upon any subsequent offense the violator shall be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50.00). Upon the third conviction, the skateboard, or other similar device, of such owner may be impounded for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days.

(d) Any parent, guardian or person in loco parentis who permits any child to violate this section shall, upon the first offense, be warned; upon the second offense the parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be fined not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and upon any subsequent offense the parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50.00).
(e) In addition, to the extent that any skateboarder causes willful or malicious damage to the property of another, any parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be subject to liability for such damage as per Section 525.03 of the General Offenses Code.
