All electric wiring, installation of electrical fixtures, apparatus, or electrical appliances for furnishing light, heat, or power or other electrical work introduced into or placed in or upon, or in any way connected on, any building or structure within the limits of this municipality shall be in conformity with the provisions set forth in the city of Chicago electrical code enacted by the city of Chicago, Illinois, and as amended to the date hereof, and the whole thereof, of which not less than three (3) copies have been and now are filed in the office of the clerk, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this chapter shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the installation, alteration or repair of electrical materials.
