3-1-5: BOOKS OF RECORDS:
The chief of police shall cause the following books of record to be kept in the department of police: persons arrested; accounts of monies received and expended and the purposes thereof; all properties placed in his charge; time lost by other employees of the police department and such other books and records as shall be required by the business of the department.
The chief of police shall also cause a complete record to be kept of all felonies committed within the village. This record shall be open at all times to the president and members of the board of trustees.
The complete history of each person charged with having committed a felony shall be kept which shall include a record of all orders entered in the proceedings and the final disposition thereof by the coroner, the coroner's jury, the grand jury or the court. (1965 Code)
