§ 112.44 OPEN CONTAINER PROHIBITION.
   Except as otherwise provided herein, it is unlawful for any person to possess, carry or have in his or her control any beer, wine or other alcoholic liquor in any bottle or container that is opened or has its seal broken, on any public street, sidewalk, alley, park, parking lot or other public place in the city; and it is unlawful to drink any beer, wine or other alcoholic liquor in those places. The provisions hereof shall not apply to the holder(s) of a special events liquor license if the Local Liquor Commissioner is satisfied that adequate safeguards have been made by the holder to contain the consumers of alcoholic beverages from leaving the confines of a defined area (e.g., a fenced-in area for a beer garden).
