6-3-4: TRAFFIC LANES; VIOLATION:
   A.   The chief of police is authorized to mark traffic lanes upon the roadway of any street or highway under city jurisdiction where a regular alignment of traffic is necessary.
   B.   Where such traffic lanes have been marked, it is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to fail or refuse to keep such vehicle within the boundaries of any such lanes, except when lawfully passing another vehicle or preparatory to making a lawful turning movement. Violations of this section shall be a class C misdemeanor and upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. (1990 Code § 10.12.040; amd. 2003 Code)
