6-2-10: TRAFFIC RULES; PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL:
The following rules will be enforced at Pleasant Grove high school:
   A.   All parking stalls are on a first come, first serve basis for each day's parking. (1990 Code § 10.08.110)
   B.   The speed limit in all parking areas is ten (10) miles per hour. Violations of this subsection shall be considered a class B misdemeanor and upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. (1990 Code § 10.08.110; amd. 2003 Code)
   C.   All students must park in authorized student parking areas or in approved on street parking areas north of the high school on Pleasant Grove high school property.
   D.   Visitors and staff will park in front of the school along 200 South, in the east parking lot, or in other designated areas.
   E.   Each car or other motor vehicle that is driven to school by a student or staff member must be properly registered and must display a registration sticker.
   F.   All cars and other motor vehicles must be legal, according to law, before receiving a registration sticker. (1990 Code § 10.08.110)
   G.   Registration stickers will be issued by the school. To obtain a registration sticker, a student must have: (1990 Code § 10.08.110; amd. 2003 Code)
      1.   A valid state of Utah operator's license and/or a valid motorcycle or motor scooter license;
      2.   Current no fault insurance policy;
      3.   A valid state of Utah vehicle registration; (1990 Code § 10.08.110)
      4.   A valid state of Utah vehicle inspection;
      5.   A completed motor vehicle registration form signed by parents or registered owner of vehicle.
   H.   All traffic violations on school property may result in a citation from a police officer, and may result in loss of driving privileges or the imposition of a fine. (1990 Code § 10.08.110; amd. 2003 Code)
   I.   Students are not permitted in the school parking lot at any time during the school day, eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. to three o'clock (3:00) P.M., except in necessary transit to and from the school and vehicle. The only exception to this rule is that students may go to their cars during their own lunch period. Students may not loiter in or around the cars in the parking lot during the lunch periods or any other time.
   J.   Title 5, chapter 2, article D of this code and all other applicable motor vehicle laws of the city and state will be enforced. (1990 Code § 10.08.110)
