A. State: In any case where the state requires a business to be licensed, the obtaining of such a license is a prerequisite to receiving a license under this chapter. (Ord. 2000-27, 8-1-2000)
B. City: It is unlawful for any person, firm, corporation, partnership, group or association to engage in any business, trade, profession or calling within the corporate limits of the city, without first obtaining a business license as hereinafter provided, or to violate any provision or fail to comply with all of the appropriate provisions of this chapter, and any violation or failure to comply with any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as a class B misdemeanor and upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code, and a civil fine may be assessed in the amount of twice the applicable license fee as provided by the ordinances of the city.
