§ 32.43 DISPERSAL DURING EMERGENCIES.
   (A)   (1)   The Mayor, by proclamation, may prohibit assemblies of three or more persons in specified geographic areas of the town after he or she finds that any such assemblies constitute a clear and present danger of prolonging or aggravating an existing emergency which endangers lives, safety, and property.
      (2)   The proclamation shall be in writing and state the Mayor’s findings.
      (3)   The Mayor shall take reasonable steps to give notice of the terms of the proclamation to those affected by it, and shall post a copy of it in the Town Hall.
      (4)   The Mayor shall retain a text of the proclamation and, upon request, shall furnish certified copies of it for use as evidence.
   (B)   The proclamation shall specify the geographical area or areas in which the restrictions apply.
   (C)   Any police officer may order any assembly prohibited by this subchapter to disperse.
