§ 93.01 FIRE CODE ADOPTED BY REFERENCE.
   (A)   Pursuant to the provisions of the R.C. § 731.231, the latest edition of the Ohio Fire Code and the latest edition of the National Fire Codes (NFPA), promulgated by the National Fire Protection Association, except as amended by § 93.02, is adopted by the city and incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein. The purpose of the latest edition of the Ohio Fire Code and the National Fire Codes, as adopted herein, is to prescribe regulations consistent with nationally recognized good practice for the safeguarding, to a reasonable degree, of life and property from the hazards of fire and explosions arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life and property in the use or occupancy of buildings or premises. Compliance with these standards or other approved nationally recognized standards shall be deemed to be prima facie evidence of compliance with this intent.

   (B)   A complete copy of the latest edition of the Ohio Fire Code and the National Fire Code (NFPA), as adopted herein, is on file with the Fire Chief for inspection. Copies shall be made available for inspection only to the public at no cost. Copies of the entire National Fire Code (NFPA) manual may be purchased from the licensing company.
