A. Pursuant to Section 22507 of the Vehicle Code, the
City Council
finds that the parking or standing of vehicles, including but not limited to, six feet or more in height (including any load thereon) within one hundred feet of any intersection, may be a hazard to the safe movement of vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
B. The
City Council
may, by resolution, designate the specific location and the parking prohibition where the hazard described in subsection A of this section exists. it shall be unlawful to park or stand a vehicle in violation of such a prohibition provided that adequate signs are posted which are visible from the restricted area.
