10.04.030 CITY MANAGER.

   “City Manager” means and includes any such person as the City Council may, by ordinance, designate; or as the City Manager, by written authorization, may designate to perform or administer provisions of this title. (Ord. 432 § 2(part), 1982).

10.04.040 COUNCIL.

   “Council” means the City Council of the city of Pinole, county of Contra Costa, state of California. (Ord. 432 § 2(part), 1982).

10.04.050 CURB.

   “Curb” means the lateral boundary of the roadway whether such curb is marked by curbing construction, or not so marked. “Curb,” as used in this title, shall not include the line dividing the roadway of a street from parking strips in the center of a street, nor from tracks or rights-of-way of public utility companies. (Ord. 432 § 2(part), 1982).

10.04.060 DIVISIONAL ISLAND.

   “Divisional island” means a raised island located in the roadway and separating opposing or conflicting streams of traffic. (Ord. 432 § 2(part), 1982).

10.04.070 HOLIDAYS.

   “Holidays” are as established by the City Council by resolution. (Ord. 432 § 2(part), 1982).

10.04.080 LOADING ZONE.

   “Loading zone” means the space adjacent to a curb reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles during the loading or unloading of passengers or materials. (Ord. 432 § 2(part), 1982).

10.04.090 OFFICIAL TIME STANDARD.

   “Official time standard” is whenever certain hours are named in this title, they mean standard time or daylight savings time as may be in current use in this city. (Ord. 432 § 2 (part), 1982).
