§ 116.01 DEFINITIONS.
   All capitalized terms used in this chapter shall be construed as defined in the Business District Act and the Business District Plan.

§ 116.02 FINDINGS.
   The City hereby makes the following findings as supported by the City Business District Plan:
   (A)   The Business District Plan constitutes a specific plan for a business district in the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois.
   (B)   The designation of the Business District, as more specifically described in the Business District Plan, will assure opportunities for development and redevelopment, and attraction of quality commercial growth to the City.
   (C)   The Business District Plan and the business district conform with the existing Comprehensive Plan for the city.
   (D)   The City’s exercise of the powers provided in the Act is dedicated to the promotion of the public interest and to the enhancement of the tax base of the business district’s and the City’s use of the powers for the development and redevelopment of the business district as provided in the Business District Plan is declared to be a public use essential to the public interest of the residents of the City.

§ 116.03 APPROVAL OF CITY BUSINESS DISTRICT PLAN.
   The Pinckneyville Business District Plan is hereby approved in the form as filed with the City Clerk on January 29, 2008, a copy of which is attached hereto as to Ord. O-08-01.
