§ 70.999 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which another fine is not provided shall be fined not less than $100 nor more than $500 for each offense. Each day a violation occurs or continues shall constitute a separate offense.

   (B)   Any person violating § 70.041 shall be fined not less than $100 nor more than $500.
   (C)   Every person convicted of a violation of § 70.114 shall be punished by a fine of not less than $100 or by impoundment of the violator’s bicycle for a period not to exceed 30 days, or by any combination thereof.
   (D)   (1)   Any vehicle authorized for use on public streets by §§ 70.120 through 70.125 shall be subject to all local and state laws that generally apply to the respective motor vehicle codes, and any violation of either code will cause the operator of the vehicle to be eligible for criminal prosecution according to the laws of that code.
      (2)   Any person who violates any provision of §§ 70.120 through 70.125 shall be guilty of a petty misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of $100.
Any second or subsequent offense shall result in the revocation of the permit for a period of not less than three, nor more than five, years. To the extent that any violation of §§ 70.120 through 70.125 also constitutes a violation of a criminal statute of the State of Illinois, then the violator shall also be subject to criminal prosecution.
