1422.01 2004 EDITION AND FUTURE AMENDMENTS ADOPTED.
   Pursuant to Charter Section 2.05(I), and Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted by and for the City the Residential Code of Ohio (RCO), being particularly the 2004 edition thereof and its appendices, as adopted by the International Code Council, Inc., including all other codes adopted by reference therein and including any amendments, deletions, or future editions published thereafter. However, Section R105.2, Number 1 of the Residential Code of Ohio is not adopted herein, as Section 1286.281 of the City's Codified Ordinances provides for stricter standards.

1422.02 PURPOSE.
   The purpose of the Residential Code of Ohio, as adopted in Section 1422.01, is to establish standards for the erection, construction, alteration, repair, equipment, use and occupancy of nonindustrialized one, two and three-family dwellings and appurtenant structures.

1422.03 FILE AND DISTRIBUTION COPIES.
   At least one copy of the Residential Code of Ohio, as adopted in Section 1422.01, is on file with the Municipal Clerk for inspection by the public. At least one copy of such Code is also on file in the County Law Library. In addition, the Municipal Clerk shall keep copies of such Code available for distribution to the public, at cost.

1422.04 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter and in the Residential Code of Ohio, adopted in Section 1422.01:
   (a)   "Building Official" means the Building Official of the City or his or her authorized representative.
   (b)   "City" means the City of Pickerington, Ohio.
