(a) No person shall discharge wastewater containing in excess of:

(b) No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any of the following:
(1) Any liquid or vapor having a temperature higher than 150 degrees Fahrenheit (65.5 degrees Centigrade).
(2) Any wastes which contain grease or oil or other substances that will solidify or become discernibly viscous at temperatures between thirty degrees and 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
(3) Any waste containing oil, fat or grease exceeding an average of 200 milligrams per liter of hexane insoluble matter.
(4) Any waste, acid or alkaline in reaction, and having corrosive properties capable of causing damage or hazard to structures, equipment and personnel of the wastewater treatment plant. Free acids or alkalies of such wastes shall be neutralized at all times within the permissible range of pH, which is between 6.0 and 9.0.
(5) Any water or waste containing in excess of 0.02 mg/l total identifiable chlorinated hydrocarbons which cannot be removed by the Municipal wastewater treatment process.
(6) Any gasoline, benzene, naptha, fuel oil or other flammable or explosive liquid, solid or gas.
(7) Any ashes, cinders, sand, mud, straw, shavings, metal, glass, rags, feathers, tar, plastics, wood or any other solid or viscous substance capable of causing obstruction to the flow in sewers or other interference with the proper operation of the treatment works.
(8) Any water or waste that for a duration of fifteen minutes has a concentration greater than five times that of "normal sewage," as defined in Section 1054.01(a)(32), or a flow greater than five times the average hourly sewage flow, or containing five times the concentration of materials for which limits are set herein.
(9) Any water or waste which, by interaction with other water or wastes in the public sewer system, releases obnoxious gases, develops color of undesirable intensity, forms suspended solids in objectionable concentration, or creates any other conditions deleterious to structures and treatment processes, shall be subject to control or shall be debarred from the system as determined by the Administrator.
(10) Any water or waste containing toxic or poisonous solids, liquids or gases in sufficient quantity, either singly or by interaction with other wastes, to injure or interfere with any sewage treatment process, constitute a hazard to humans or animals, create a public nuisance, prevent entry into the sewers for maintenance and repair, or create any hazard in the receiving waters of the wastewater treatment plant.
(c) In order to comply with the standards set forth in subsections (a) and (b) hereof, the entity may have to install pretreatment facilities as discussed in Section 1054.17.
