(a) For staff members in Pay Band E per Section 266.15-2, all work actually performed in excess of forty (40) hours in a week will be paid at one and one-half (1-1/2) times a staff member's normal rate of pay. Unless specified, unworked time shall not be considered as hours worked for purposes of this Personnel Policy, except that paid time off work on holidays, vacation and compensatory time shall be counted as hours worked for the purpose of computing overtime. Work actually performed on Saturdays or Sundays which are outside the employee's normal work week, or on holidays which are not normally scheduled workdays shall be paid at one and one-half (1-1/2) times a staff member's hourly rate of pay. Holiday pay will be paid in accordance with Sections 266.07-2 and 266.07-3 in addition to pay for hours worked on a holiday.
(b) Overtime work for all staff members must be authorized in advance by the Administrator or the Mayor or immediate supervisor, except in case of emergencies.
