(a) Any person soliciting or peddling anything which such person has personally manufactured or produced. This exemption shall apply only to natural persons.
(b) Any person soliciting or peddling for and on behalf of any charitable, educational or religious institution, provided that such person receives no compensation therefor.
(c) Any person soliciting or peddling newspapers who at the time is between the ages of eight and eighteen years.
(d) Any salesman or agent for wholesale houses or firms that solicit orders from or sell to retail dealers for resale, or to manufacturers for manufacturing purposes, or to bidders for public works or supplies.
