§ 154.062 MANHOLES AND DRAINAGE APPURTENANCES.
   (A)   All manholes shall be precast reinforced concrete sections, 48 inch inside diameter minimum with precast reinforced concrete off-set cones, manufactured to ASTM Designation C-478. Frames and covers shall meet the requirements of State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Standard 2213-4 with Cast Open Lids for storm sewer systems and Cast Closed Lids for sanitary sewer systems. All manholes with contain cast iron/plastic steps per State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Standard 1527-5 at 16 inch centers. Bottoms of manholes to be six inches thick concrete, with a three inch said cushion. Spacer rings for final adjustment shall not exceed eight inches in height. No brick or blocks are allowed. All joints between manhole sections, spacer rings and frames shall be sealed with mastic joints.
   (B)   All sanitary sewer manholes located in flood plain areas must have sealed frames and lids of the Neenah type R 1915-D or East Jordan Type 1045 PT, or equal, or have a rim elevation 30 inches above the flood crest elevation.
