In order to provide for the orderly growth and functioning of the community at present and in the future, and to provide for the public safety, comfort, and welfare of its citizens, the village does hereby adopt and approve the Comprehensive Plan for land use of the village as approved and recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission, which is attached to and made a part of Ord. 97-31 as Exhibit A as amended, and which includes the Official Map of the Village. The Comprehensive Plan and Official Map shall apply to the village and all unincorporated territory within a mile and one-half of the village limits as such limits exist from time to time.
