§ 150.056 STOP WORK ORDERS.
   (A)   The Administrator or his or her designee shall have the authority to stop construction of any building or the making of any alterations or repairs of any building within the village when the same is being done in a reckless or careless manner or in violation of this chapter or in violation of the ordinances and regulations of the village.
   (B)   The Administrator or his or her designee shall have the authority to stop all work, wrecking, tearing down, or moving of any building or structure within the village when same is being done in such a manner as to endanger life or property and to order any and all persons engaged in such work to stop and desist. When such work has been stopped by the order of the Administrator or his or her designee, it shall not be resumed until the Administrator shall be satisfied that adequate precautions have been taken for the protection of the life and property and that the work will be done in conformity with the ordinances and regulations of the village.
   (C)   Any person who shall continue any work in or about the structure after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe conditions, shall be liable to a fine as set forth in § 150.999 of this chapter.
