§ 99.03 REGULATIONS.
   (A)   Each residence in the village may be granted no more than two garage sale permits in a calendar year (January 1 - December 30). However, if a garage sale is canceled due to rain or other climatic conditions, the sale may (without further permit and without counting towards the maximum of two per year) be held the same two days the next week provided that the person notifies the village at least 48 hours prior to the sale.
   (B)   No garage sale shall be permitted to run for more than two days. The permit shall specify the two days for the sale.
   (C)   On any day on which a garage sale is permitted, the hours of the sale shall not begin before 8 a.m. nor end later than 4 p.m.
   (D)   The items to be sold at such a garage sale shall be items of personal property, including but not limited to household goods, clothing and furnishings which have been used in the dwelling unit located on the premises where the sale is to be conducted. Sale items purchased for intentional sale or resale may not be sold at such a sale.
   (E)   No sidewalk or public parkway shall be obstructed as a result of a garage sale, nor shall any permanent or temporary sign be placed in or on the parkway or other public right-of-way.
   (F)   Signage for a garage sale shall be as permitted in the Peotone residential district sign regulations, Chapter 153 of this Code, and must be removed within one hour after the end of the sale.
   (G)   No garage sales shall be permitted the weekend of the Peotone Country Festival.
