§ 97.38 SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION AND LOCATION; SPECIFICATIONS.
   (A)   All sidewalk construction plans must be submitted to the sidewalk committee of the Village Board of Trustees before any sidewalk construction can begin. All sidewalk construction shall be a minimum of four feet wide in residential areas and six feet in commercial or industrial areas, and must have a depth consisting of a minimum of a four inch tamped road mix stone base and a minimum of five-inch cement top surface; provided, however, that portion of a sidewalk located in driveways and approaches shall have a six inch tamped road mix stone base. Construction shall be with a six bag mix with welded wire reinforcement or fiber concrete and also must comply with all the construction requirement of § 154.068 of Chapter 154 of Title XV of this Code of Peotone.
   (B)   The top surface elevation shall be a minimum of four inches higher than the crown of the finished street where no curb exists, or if there is a curb, the top of the curb shall be a minimum of five inches lower than the adjacent property at the front property line. The grade shall be set by the Village Engineer at the expense of the property owner, and forming approved before concrete is poured.
   (C)   All sidewalks shall be located generally in line with other sidewalks in the vicinity and so that the inside edge of the sidewalk is one foot outside the property line.
