§ 51.092 CONNECTION FEES.
   (A)   The fee for each sewer connection permit within the corporate limits of the village shall be as follows:
      (1)   For connection with a detached single-family residential unit (1 - 1 1/4 water service).

      (2)   For connection with an attached single-family residential unit (1 1/4 water service - each unit requires a separate connection).
$400.00
      (3)   Residential connections exceeding the designated water service sizes set forth in (1) or (2) shall be charged at commercial rate.
      (4)   For connection with a commercial or industrial building, or any other user.
1 line $600.00 and cost of meter

1 1/2 $800.00 and cost of meter
1 3/4 $900.00 and cost of meter
2 $1,000.00 and cost of meter
2 1/2 to 4 $1,600.00 and cost of meter

6.1 and larger $2,400.00 and cost of meter
 
Where multiple taps are used, fee is based on largest tap, including supply lines for fire sprinkler systems. Each building served shall require a separate tap, fee, and meter unless otherwise approved by the Water Superintendent.
   (B)   For connection to any units located on property presently not within the village limits as of the date of passage of this chapter the rate shall be 150% of the rates stated in (2),(3),(4) and (5) above.
   (C)   The above fees shall include inspection of the completed connection and no building permit authorized to be issued under the Municipal Code of the village shall be issued without payment for and issuance of a sewer connection permit and the completed installation must be inspected and approved by the Superintendent. All connections must be tested by smoke or pressure before closing excavation at the contractor's expense and under the supervision and direction of the Superintendent.
   (D)   Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, special additional sewer connection fees shall be charged to each user of the sewer system as follows:
      (1)   A charge of $85 per lot or $1 per frontage foot of lot size, whichever is greater, shall be made whenever owners of the following described property shall connect to the sewer system flowing into the lift station on North Conrad Street.
      (2)   Lots 2, 5, 6, 7, 10, and 12 in Borchardts Subdivision to the Village of Peotone.
