(A) New Water Main Connection Fees. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized to grant such permits as he may deem proper, allowing persons to connect to the waterworks and sewerage system in the village. The fees to be charged those persons who hereafter request a connection to the waterworks system shall be as follows:
(1) For connection with a detached single-family residential unit. (1" - 1 1/4" line) | $600.00 and cost of water meter |
(2) For connection with an attached single-family residential unit. (1 1/2" line required for each unit) | $400.00 and cost of water meter |
(3) Residential connections exceeding designated size
size shall be charged at the commercial rate, and
pay cost of meters. | |
(4) For connection with a commercial or not listed under (1), (2) or (3) above. | 1" line $600.00 and cost of meter |

Where multiple taps are used, fee is based on largest tap, including supply lines for fire sprinkler system. Each building served shall require a separate tap, fee, and meter unless otherwise approved by the Water Superintendent.
(5) An additional charge of $20 per frontage foot of property on which improvements are constructed will be assessed, for each new connection made onto village water mains which were previously installed at the sole expense of the village.
(6) For property not annexed to the village, there is a 150% charge on water.
(B) All payment of fees due under the terms of this chapter will be paid prior to the time a building permit is issued.
(C) All funds derived from the application of the provisions of this section shall be separated and used only as heretofore provided by ordinance for the payment of the costs of past and/or future construction, expansion and/or improvement of the village waterworks and/or sewage system.
