§ 51.014 SIZE, PLACEMENT OF WATER SERVICE LINE.
   (A)   The President and Board of Trustees are hereby authorized to make such rules and regulations consistent with this chapter for connection to the waterworks and sewerage system, specifying the type and size of pipes and all other appurtenances and extensions thereto, and amend the same from time to time as may be deemed necessary. All service pipes and connections to the combined system shall comply with the said specifications and rules. Any person, firm or corporation not complying with the specifications and rules for connections to the combined system shall be subject to a penalty as hereinafter provided.
   (B)   The President and Board of Trustees hereby specify that the minimum size water service line for a single-family dwelling shall be one inch. The size and type of water service lines for buildings other than single-family dwellings shall be specified by the Board of Trustees when a tap to the water main is requested.
   (C)   The President and Board of Trustees do hereby specify that all water mains, storm sewers, sanitary sewers and utility services installed along, upon or under any of the streets in the village or in any new subdivision or within the village, shall be installed as follows:
      (1)   All water mains and storm sewers shall be installed on the same side of the street.
      (2)   Utility services and sanitary sewers shall be installed on the opposite side of the street from the water mains and storm sewer mains.
      (3)   No utility services are to be installed on the same side of the street as the water main installation.
