(A) A user may not introduce into a POTW any pollutant(s) which cause pass through or interference. These general prohibitions and the specific prohibitions in § 50.111 of this chapter apply to each ser introducing pollutants into a POTW whether or not the user is subject to other national pretreatment standards or any national, state, or local pretreatment requirements.
(B) It shall be unlawful to discharge to any natural outlet within the town or in any area under the jurisdiction of the town any sewage or other polluted waters except where suitable treatment has been provided in accordance with subsequent provisions of this subchapter.
(1) Pollutants which will cause corrosive structural damage to the POTW.
(2) Solid or viscous pollutants in amounts which will cause obstruction to the flow in the POTW resulting in interference;
(3) Any pollutant, including oxygen demanding pollutants (BOD, etc.) released in a discharge at a flow rate and/or pollutant concentration which will cause interference with the POTW.
(4) Petroleum oil, non-biodegradable cutting oil, or products of mineral oil origin in amounts that will cause interference or pass through;
(5) Pollutants which result in the presence of toxic gases, vapors, or fumes within the POTW in a quantity that may cause acute worker health and safety problems;
(6) Any trucked or hauled pollutants, except at discharge points designated by the POTW.
(7) Pollutants from CERCLA sites, unless the POTW has in place an approved pretreatment program. The POTW must request, prior to actual discharge of the pollutants, the approval authority's concurrence with the proposed discharge. the approval authority may require any special conditions or monitoring of this discharge that appears appropriate.
