§ 50.111 SPECIFIC PROHIBITIONS.
    No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any of the following waters or wastes to any public sewer or natural outlet:
   (A)   Pollutants which create a fire or explosion hazard in the POTW, including, but not limited to, wastestreams with a closed cup flashpoint of less than 140º F. or 60º C. using the test methods specified in 40 CFR 261.21.
   (B)   Heat in amounts which will inhibit biological activity in the POTW resulting in interference, but in no case heat in such quantities that the temperature at the POTW treatment plant exceeds 40°C. (104°F.) unless the approval authority, upon request of the POTW, approves alternate temperature limits.
   (C)   Any gasoline, benzene, naphtha, fuel oil, or other flammable or explosive liquid, solid or gas and/or having a closed cup flash point of less than 140°F using test methods specified in 40 CFR 261.21.
   (D)   Any water or waste having a pH less than 6.5 standard units nor greater than 10.0 standard units;
   (E)   Fats, wax, grease, or oils of petroleum origin, whether emulsified or not, in excess of 30mg/1 or containing substances which may solidify or become viscous at temperatures between 32ºF. (0ºC.) and 140ºF. (60ºC.);
   (F)   Fats, wax, grease, or oils of animal or vegetable origin, whether emulsified or not, in excess of 100 mg/1 or containing substances which may solidify or become viscous at temperatures between 32ºF. (0ºC.) and 140ºF. (60ºC.);
   (G)   Any ashes, cinders, sand, mud, straw, shavings, metal, glass, rags, feathers, tar, plastics, wood, paunch manure, or any other solids or viscous substances capable of causing obstructions or other interferences with proper operation of the sewer system;
   (H)   Any pollutant, including oxygen demanding pollutants (BOD etc.) at flow rate and/or concentration which will cause the pollutant to pass through to the receiving waters or interfere with the town’s treatment works;
   (I)   Noxious liquids, gases, or solids which either singly or by interaction with other wastes are sufficient to create a public nuisance or hazard to life or are sufficient to prevent entry into the sewers for their maintenance and repair;
   (J)   Any pollutants which result in the presence of toxic gases, vapor or fumes within the treatment works in a quantity that may cause acute worker health and safety problems;
   (K)   Petroleum oil, non-biodegradable cutting oil or products of mineral oil origin in amounts that will cause interference or pass through.
   (L)   Any water or waste which imparts color and cannot be removed by the treatment works;
   (M)   Any trucked or hauled pollutants, unless approved by the town;
   (N)   Water or waste considered to be radioactive or containing isotopes.
   (O)   Any water or waste which can be defined as a slug discharge by this chapter;
   (P)   Substances which may cause the POTW's effluent or any other products of the POTW such as residues, sludges, or scums, to be unsuitable for reclamation and reuse or to interfere with the process. In no case shall a substance discharged to the POTW cause the POTW to be in non-compliance with sludge use or disposal criteria, guidelines, or regulations developed under Section 405 of the Act; any criteria, guidelines, or regulations affecting sludge use or disposal developed pursuant to the SDWA, the Clean Air Act, the Toxic Substances Control Act, or state criteria applicable to the sludge management method being used;
   (Q)   Any water or wastes which causes the failure of required toxicity tests at the treatment works;
   (R)   Water or wastes containing, in sufficient concentrations, such substances which create excessive foaming in the treatment works;
   (S)   Any sludges, screenings, or other residue from the pretreatment of industrial wastes; and
   (T)   Any other such water or wastes which the town deems harmful to its treatment works, personnel, the public and/or the waters of the United States.
