15.08.050: NONCONFORMING WORK:
If the building inspector finds plumbing which does not comply with the provisions of this chapter in any installation or remodeling of plumbing, he shall then give the plumber or person doing the plumbing notification thereof in writing, requiring the correction of the defects found and, until such defects are cured, that said plumbing not be used, as provided by this section; and during the time of the curing of such defects, the building inspector shall place a red tag on the supply line valve or other prominent place upon the water supply line of said premises, stating that such plumbing is not approved for domestic or commercial use. Upon completion of the corrections required or upon final approval of plumbing installations or repairs, the building inspector shall issue a certificate of inspection containing a statement to the effect that said plumbing has been found to comply with this chapter, and shall place a blue tag on the supply line valve or other prominent place on the water supply line of said premises stating that said plumbing is approved for domestic and commercial use.
