15.04.070: EXPIRATION DATE ON BUILDING PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR RENEWAL OF PERMITS; EXEMPTING PUBLICLY FUNDED PROJECTS:
   A.   Any building permit issued by the building official shall be valid for a period not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days. All work contemplated to be done in accordance with the permit shall be completed within the one hundred eighty (180) day period.
   B.   If any portion of the project is completed at the time of expiration, the building official is authorized to grant, in writing, one or more extensions of time, for periods of not more than one hundred eighty (180) days each. The extension shall be requested in writing and justifiable cause demonstrated. The additional extensions shall be good for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days.
   C.   Any projects which are publicly funded shall be exempt from the one hundred eighty (180) day period.
   D.   Any portions of any existing chapters which are in direct conflict with this chapter are hereby repealed insofar as the conflict exists.
   E.   If any portion of this chapter is found to be unenforceable or unconstitutional for any reason, the remaining portion of this chapter shall remain in full force and effect. (Ord. 1366, 2012)
