6.04.010: ANIMALS; RIDING OR LEADING WITHIN CITY LIMITS:
No person shall, without first obtaining a permit from the City Clerk, ride any horse, mule, llama or cattle, or suffer, permit or allow any horse, mule, llama or cattle to come upon any City park, any street, sidewalk, or upon grass strips between sidewalk and roadway which lies within the City limits and which is more particularly described as lying south of Third Avenue North, north of 6th Avenue South, between Seventh Street and west of Tenth Street, or within any portion of the right-of-way of any State highway, any portion of South Main Street. Leading any horse, mule, llama or cattle through the prohibited areas is permitted during daylight hours only, and shall always proceed in single file on the extreme right-hand portion of the roadway. Horses shall not be ridden or led on roadways during hours of darkness. Any person violating this section shall be guilty of an infraction for a first offense and guilty of a misdemeanor for any second or subsequent offenses. (Ord. 1444, 2018)
