(a) Roof Slope. Except when materials and the method of application permit other roof slopes approved by the Building Commissioner, shingle, slate and tile roofs shall have a slope of not less than four in twelve, except for porches, on which the slope shall be not less than three in twelve. For built-up roofs, the slope shall be not more than three in twelve.
(b) Application. All shingle application shall start with a double row. Nails for attaching roof coverings shall be copper, hot-dipped galvanized or other noncorrosive type of nail approved by the Commissioner.
