1505.12   HEIGHT OF A BUILDING.
   (a)   "Height of a building" means the distance as measured on the center line of the principal front of the building from the grade to the highest point in the coping of flat roofs, to the deck line of a mansard roof, to the center height of the highest gable in a pitched roof or to half the height of a hip roof.
   (b)   If the grade in the rear or along the side of the building falls below the grade of the front, the height shall then be taken in the center of the side or end, showing the greatest fall.
   (c)   If the total fall on any side or end exceeds ten feet in the length thereof, the height shall then be measured at the lowermost corner, and the height of the building shall be terraced or stepped off at every ten feet of grade.
