There shall be deposited with the Director of Public Service, at the time of making application, the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) to save the City harmless of any damage to the hydrant by such permitted use. The Director is hereby authorized to have any such damage repaired and charge such repairs to such cash deposit. In the event that the damage to the hydrant is greater than fifty dollars ($50.00), the permit holder shall be liable to the City for any further damage.
