It is the intent of this chapter to regulate the drilling, operation, deepening and modification of oil and gas wells and the sites upon which such wells are located in the City in accordance with Ohio R.C. Chapter 1509. These regulations are necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare as well as adjoining properties and the environment.
