738.12   RESIDENTIAL GARAGE, BASEMENT AND LIKE SALES.
   (a)   No owner or occupant of premises within a residential district shall hold a garage, basement, lawn, patio, yard or similar sale without first obtaining a permit therefor.
   (b)   For dwellings where the garage is located to the rear of the dwelling unit, sales shall be limited to the area of the garage and driveway and must be behind the front setback line. For dwellings with an attached garage, sales shall be limited to the area of the garage and driveway and shall not be in excess of twenty feet beyond the front setback line.
   (c)   No more than three such sales per calendar year shall be held at the same residence by such owner or occupant.
   (d)   Each sale shall continue for no more than three consecutive calendar days and shall commence no earlier than 9:00 a.m. and continue only until sundown. Sales shall be prohibited on Sunday.
   (e)   Items sold at such sales shall consist only of used household merchandise, fixtures, appliances and personal items.
