Unless the fumigant to be used is approved by the United States Public Health Service as not affecting foods, all food and drink in the building or room being fumigated shall be removed, except by special exemption of the Health Officer or when packed in sealed containers or intended to be cooked or boiled, or when the fumigation performed is for the purpose of destroying vermin infesting such food.
