The Director of Public Safety may at any time recommend the revocation of any license issued under the terms of the foregoing sections and the Director may revoke such license by notice in writing whenever it appears to his satisfaction that the licensee has violated the provisions of any law of the State or ordinance of the City relating to the carrying on of the business named in such license.
