“Metered parking zone” means a portion of the paved surface of the street indicated by painted lines thereon, which lines extend from the sidewalk curb into the street a sufficient distance to accommodate a vehicle when the same is parked parallel to the curb with the right wheels thereof not more than one foot from the curb. The lines marking a metered parking zone for parallel parking shall be approximately twenty feet apart and the lines for marking a metered zone where angle parking is permitted shall be of sufficient distance apart to allow ease of parking.
