173.34   COMPLIANCE WITH COURT-ORDERED CHILD SUPPORT.
   (a)   As a requirement for employment with the City, any successful applicant shall provide the City with certification from the appropriate authority that the applicant is in substantial compliance with any court-ordered child support. "Substantial compliance" means the individual is either current in meeting court-ordered child support obligations or has entered into an agreement within the past thirty days with the appropriate authority to satisfy any delinquency and assure future payments.
   (b)   To expedite the collection of the required child support information, the Personnel Director shall require, on forms approved by the Director, the successful employment applicant to execute an affidavit attesting that the applicant is either not subject to court-ordered child support or that the applicant is in substantial compliance therewith, and the Director shall obtain certification from the appropriate authority that said applicant is in substantial compliance with such order.
