(a) In addition to the regular compensation paid to elected officers at the commencement of the current term, judges of the Parma Municipal Court, employees of the Parma Municipal Court, the Clerk of the Parma Municipal Court, employees of the Clerk of the Parma Municipal Court, full-time, non-union employees of the City, and any elected official of the City (Mayor, Auditor, Law Director, Treasurer, President of Council and Councilpersons), the City shall provide a hospitalization plan benefitting each such officer and employee. Said plan shall be approved by the Mayor annually.
(b) Any employee receiving paid hospitalization coverage as a benefit of employment with the City may, in lieu of the hospitalization benefits and upon written request to the Auditor, receive an insurance incentive bonus as an additional amount to the employee’s annual compensation, to be prorated and paid on a per pay basis, in line with single or family classification. The amounts are as follows:

(c) Any employee who opts for the insurance incentive bonus shall make no claims against the City for any medical expenses, either directly or indirectly.
(d) The Human Resources Director is hereby authorized and directed to take the steps necessary to implement the inclusion of reimbursement of smoking cessation devices authorized by a physician and to be paid by the City’s health care plan reimbursement account for all covered employees of the City.
Requests for reimbursement shall be paid as follows: First request - 80% paid by the City and 20% paid by the employee; second request - 50% paid by the City and 50% paid by the employee; and third request - the total shall be paid by the employee.
